7 habits of really happy people

We all know that person. The one who is always laughing, crackin’ jokes, having fun, and just being happy, no matter what’s going on.Everyone is attracted to them, and perhaps you want to be like them. But maybe you think it’s impossible to always be happy. However, you most certainly can be happy like them and you SHOULD be happy like them.

They are no special secrets to how these people can have so much joy. They don’t possess anything that you don’t have. The only thing they do is practice habits that make them happy.

So here are seven habits that can be found in people who are always really happy. If you can practice these and turn them into habits you’ll be just as happy as them.

1. Don’t care what others think

They don’t care what others think or have to say. If they did, they wouldn’t let themselves free and be happy because of the possibility of scrutiny.

Really happy people also never let negative people and their attitudes get to them. Whatever the negative people say or do just rolls off the backs of the happy people.

2. Always looking at the bright side of things

No matter what situations are thrown at a happy person, they look for the bright side. Everything that is negative has a positive side to it. Negativity wouldn’t exist without positivity. Happy people know this and have practiced looking for the bright side so much that now it has become a habit. And even if a happy person can’t find the bright side of something, they’ll create it.

3. Being friendly

Happy people are always looking to make friends. They don’t care what you look like or what background you come from, they just want someone new to laugh and be happy with. And by default happy people are friendly; everyone wants to be happy as well and are drawn to them.

If you know a friendly person who is always making fun of others to bring them down, then they aren’t truly happy person. There’s something inside of them that they are insecure about.

4. Laugh & Smile

This habit goes along with being friendly. I have NEVER seen a happy person not smile or laugh. It just isn’t physically possible. However, a really happy person smiles so much that they turned it into a habit. You might even see them smiling for no real reason, it’s that natural to them. Laughing is another mandatory habit of really happy people. If you or they aren’t laughing, then there’s no true happiness.

5. Live in the moment

Really happy people make the most of every minute and day they have. They aren’t going to wait to have fun; they’re going to create fun now.

6. Push aside their troubles

Even if a happy person can’t find or create the positive side of a situation, they do the next best thing, they push it aside. They forget about it and move on because they know it’s only temporary and they know they can make their troubles leave even sooner.

7. Laugh in the face of fear

Just like the rest of us, really happy people have fears. Most of the time they just don’t display it. Happy people make jokes to lighten the mood and to make others feel more relaxed so they will too.

I am working as full time tourist :D (yea.. i wish)

Seems like everyone I know, either going back to their hometown or having holiday somewhere around the world. Since i have no income and no 'lobang' for traveling from Mom too, i decided to have tourist days once more here, at Singapore. Why not? Eventhough it's a small country, there are so many things i haven't discovered yet. After all it's all about the experience of being tourist :) for I have a thought in mind that i'm gonna explore around Singapore before i leave this place.
Will 'steal' grab Wie's camera for this adventure time.weeheee

Okay gotta go..

happy holiday everyone

Galaxy tourist

just the other night . i was sitting alone staring at the starry sky. dreaming somone would take away my worries and sadness. hold me by the hand. high up from the sky. with a brilliant light. a spaceship came descending. someone came out to me and I am sure he was asking. "YOU CAN FLY WITH ME"

never turning back. shot up to the dark and feeling the cold air run into my face. never close your eyes. you're about to see the galaxy. never turning back. shot up to the dark and feeling the cold air run into my face. never close your eyes. you're about to see the galaxy. the higher we fly the deeper we fall feeling dizzy with the sound of stars shining.

to the milky way, we were flying away through this fascinating darkness. tried to see and remember this magical moment never to forget. something pulling down, i came back to the ground i woke up in my own bedroom. but it can't be a dream, 'cause i still hear him saying, "EVERTHING IS REAL!". never turning back. shot up to the dark and feeling the cold air run into my face never close your eyes. you're about to see the Galaxy.. xy xy xy xy xy xy xy xy xy xy xy ~

Feel overwelmed inside me now. How i wish i could burst it out. But i am too tired. 37days before 2011 ends. I am sorry Mom for worrying about me for another year. I am sorry.

Not coming home for Christmas. Will see that beautiful million candles I missed two years ago once again. Turn my eyes and hearts upon You only Jesus. The days are still far ahead. Show me the paths and give me strength O' Lord each time I feel like giving up. For You are my Lord I depends on and put my trust in.

From the end of the earth I will cry to You, When my heart is overwhelmed; Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

Let's Walk and Have Chit Chat along the Way
2011 |sculptural installation | dimension variable

"Drawing is like taking a line for a walk"
– Paul Klee

The quote by Paul Klee inspired me literally to explore the idea of taking the line for a walk. In this project I explore the boundary between drawing and sculpture. I attempt to create a connection between the two mediums by combining its various elements and principles such as line as line work, color, visual representation, space and rhythm.

Small sculpture show

About Small Sculpture Show

The Small Sculpture Show is dedicated to promoting small sculptures of any medium by Singapore or foreign sculptors and artists. Its theme is akin to the notion of “smallness of sculpture” – to introduce the more intimate scale of sculpture, contrary to the majority understanding of sculpture seen and perceived as large and commissioned public artworks.

This show aims to be a platform for the promotion of small sculpture / 3D work practices and works by both established and young artists, and to generate the appreciation and collect-ability of small sculpture for both public and art collectors alike.

The Small Sculpture Show is presented by Sculpture Square, supported by the National Arts Council and sponsored by Purple Sage and the Lee Foundation.

Lenon said

“Make your own dream.

That's the Beatles' story, isn't it? That's Yoko's story, that's what I'm saying now. Produce your own dream. If you want to save Peru, go save Peru. It's quite possible to do anything, but not to put it on the leaders and the parking meters. Don't expect Jimmy Carter or Ronald Reagan or John Lennon or Yoko Ono or Bob Dylan or Jesus Christ to come and do it for you. You have to do it yourself.

That's what the great masters and mistresses have been saying ever since time began. They can point the way, leave signposts and little instructions in various books that are now called holy and worshipped for the cover of the book and not for what it says, but the instructions are all there for all to see, have always been and always will be.

There's nothing new under the sun. All the roads lead to Rome. And people cannot provide it for you. I can't wake you up. You can wake you up. I can't cure you. You can cure you.”

is to love what you do

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you’ll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don’t settle.” Steve Jobs

Too late, but it's okay :)

Bought this U900 ukulele that I named "Ketty" 8 months ago for birthday occassion. It has been so long i have never bought a gift for myself. Haha

Why Ketty? Uke is tiny, mini and cute just like Petty. So the name Ketty is derived from uKE and peTTY.
That is why whenever I play uke, it will always remind me of Petty.

Statement:
I used to think of maps as merely just part of geography lesson which has its function to identify and gives information about certain places. However in this work, I am attracted to the aesthetics of the natural shapes of islands which are the result of the shifting and changing of earth from time to time. Coming from Indonesia, I am particularly drawn to the islands of Indonesia which gives me an idea in a new way of looking at the disparate and scattered islands that make up Indonesia.

Through interpreting these shapes and parts of Indonesia into a drawing filled with different colours that I associate with childhood woodblock toys, I wish to evoke a sense of nostalgia and memory of the country which I grew up in.
